IGCA President and Founder, Michele Goodwin, in Uganda
The Institute for Global Child Advocacy is a non- profit 501c3 charitable organizations founded in 2012 by law and medical school professor, Michele Goodwin to promote the human rights and civil liberties of children throughout the globe.   In her years of research on human trafficking, sexual violence, and forced marriage, she became concerned that too few efforts were made to connect these issues to the plights of children.   Moreover, she noticed that legislative bodies suffered under the belief that as long as laws are passed, children will be free from suffering.  At IGCA we know law is not enough. Protecting children requires education, cooperation, collaboration, leadership and enforcement of best practices.
